SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 9

Congratulating the Poca High School football team on winning the
2001 Class AA championship.
Whereas, The Poca High School football team had an exceptional
season which earned it the opportunity to participate in the 2001
Class AA championship playoffs; and
Whereas, The Poca High School football team won the 2001 Class
AA championship; and
Whereas, The coaching staff, consisting of Bob Lemley, Jim
Abshire, Mel Reed, Dave Harper, Dave Rueckert, Mike Sawer, Charlie
Hartley, Bobby Lemley, Bruce Knell, Matt Raynes and Brent Raynes,
are commended for their outstanding leadership ability; and
Whereas, The players on the Poca High School football team,
including Matt Santmyer, Andrew Shamblin, Matthew Payne, Tony
Sotelo, Brent Roberts, Jake Shamblin, Josh Hull, Aaron Underwood,
Eric Patton, Alan Barie, Steve White, Darrell Thomas, Wes Browning,
James Wiseman, James Pullen, Mitchell Browning, Jonathon McCormick,
Fletcher Kinder, Sean Lowe, Ryan Burdette, Steven Homes, Eric
Gibson, Jarrett Smith, Jeff Carr, Chad Harris, Trey Dailey, Jesse
Looper, Josh Harper, Bradley Roberts, Ralph Whittaker, Daniel
Carter, Paul Ghareeb, Anthoney Scott, J. R. Hill, Derrick Holmes
and Josh Craigo, are commended for their outstanding athletic
ability, team spirit and sportsmanship; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby congratulates the Poca High School
football team on winning the 2001 Class AA championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to the coaches and each team member of
the Poca High School football team.
